A team decision was made by Franklins on which charity to support and the Alzheimer's Society was chosen as it has personal meaning to many of the staff.  Alzheimer's Disease is on the increase, affecting so many families and the Society desperately need funds for more extensive research.

On the 17th September 2011, I'll join the team from Franklins to participate in the 24.5 mile walk, crossing Pen-y-ghent (2,276 ft) Whernside (2,415ft) and Ingleborough (2,372ft).  In 12 hours.  I'll be the 'matriarch' of the expedition (ok, the one with the most wrinkles!), I think, and just hope I won't be shown up by the youth and agility that will surround me.
