Story
Reach Beyond are taking teams out to the island of Lesbos to help with the work done by local NGOs with the refugees in the Moria refugee camp, focusing on the welfare of the women and children in the camp. The teams help distributing food. They also distribute female urination devices (Shewees) among the women. These are given out to the women through the Women's Centre. This means that they don't have to leave their tents at night, giving them extra security and saving them from the indignity of making improvised nappies.
The camp, which was built to accommodate 3,000 people, currently has over 20,000 'residents', which causes many difficulties and creates an atmosphere where dignity and humanity is hard to find. By the work described, a little hope is possible.
I am going to run 1 km for every 5th Euro we'll collect. Donations possible till the end of November 2020. Give it to me. LET'S GO.
