London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

Hospice care eases the physical and emotional pain of death and dying. Letting people focus on living, right until the end. But too many people miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, for now and forever.

Story

My Grandad, Chris, ran the London Marathon in 2012 with my Granny, Charm, to celebrate their Golden wedding anniversary and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research. 10 years later, their plan was always to run the London Marathon again to celebrate their Diamond wedding anniversary. Sadly, my Granny passed away in 2019. Given that my Grandad recently turned 84, this may be his final marathon appearance, and I am therefore honoured to be running my first and hopefully last (I hate running!!!) marathon, alongside him. We are raising money for Hospice at Home, which took such good care of my dearly missed Granny in her last few months. The pandemic has drastically slowed down the raising efforts of Hospice at Home and I am eager to help them care for someone else's loved one.

Thank you for making it this far and any donation would mean the world to me :) !
