Story
I ran the London Marathon in 2012 with my wife Charm to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research, an illness which blighted the final years of my mother’s life. 10 years on, it was always our plan to run together to celebrate our Diamond wedding anniversary. Sadly, this time I am running without Charm, who passed away in 2019, but am very fortunate to be joined by my grandson, Fabio. This year, I am also raising money for West Cumbria Hospice at Home, who took such good care of Charm in her last few weeks. Given I am 84, this may be my final marathon appearance, so please donate generously to two very worthwhile causes. With many thanks to my running club, St Bees Triers, for my London Marathon place.
There are three DONATE buttons below; one for Fabio running for Hospice at Home, one for West Cumbria Hospice at Home and the third for Alzheimer’s Research.
