Charity Facemasks

Nicola Hutchinson is raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

Team: Remembering Olive Martin

In memory of Olive Martin
We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

All proceeds for sales of the facemasks will go to GOSH, in particular my niece's fund which was set up by my sister and brother-in-law in memory of Olive.

The Olive Martin Brighter Future Fund

The Olive Martin Brighter Future Fund was set up in 2014 by Clare and Paul in memory of Olive who died of a very complex heart condition aged just 6 weeks. Thanks to amazing support from friends and family over £40,000 has been raised so far.

The fund has already bought a £9,000 TOE heart probe and £10,000 towards ground-breaking heart research. To support the major redevelopments at GOSH, the rest of the Fund will go towards the creation of a new specialist cardiac unit dedicated to tackling heart failure in children. The new 14 bed unit (which is now open) will provide the foundations and infrastructure for world-leading experts to provide first class clinical care to children with heart failure and lead a pioneering programme of research focused on developing new and better devices that can buy children more time while waiting for a life-saving transplant.

As all major fundraising events have been cancelled due to Covid, I wanted to help raise a little bit of money for Olive’s Fund which is enabling GOSH make the improvements necessary at the hospital.
