Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2022 · 30 April 2022 to 1 May 2022 ·

FANY (PRVC) has been deployed as part of the national response to COVID-19. Their volunteers are providing essential support to NHS Nightingale Hospital London, to the North London and Westminster Coroners' offices, and to the City of London Police.

Story

"I am in the worst shape of my life - let's tackle a rather extreme fitness challenge!" some might say this is flawed logic... well it is. However, since joining the FANY I have learned two things: exercise can be fun and I should do more of it, and the FANY is a very worthy cause. So, in April 2022 I will be walking 100km around the Isle of Wight for the FANY.

For those of you that don't know the FANY (PRVC), formed in 1907, remains an all-female voluntary organisation that today deploys rapid response teams to support civil and military authorities in times of national crisis. Members are unpaid volunteers who train every week and are on call 24/7. The Corps has been deployed as part of the national response to COVID-19. Members are currently providing essential support to NHS Nightingale Hospital London, to the North London and Westminster Coroners' offices, and to the City of London Police.

So please donate as much or as little as you can, and feel free to point and laugh as I try to walk a very long way. I will be posting regular updates!
