Story
I am taking part in 100ks of Summer for Claire House Children's Hospice, from 25th May to 1st September. I have chosen to take on this challenge as I want to do anything and everything I can to raise crucial funding and awareness of what this amazing charity do. This is why to try and raise any extra money above the £100 target set by Claire House I have already completed the 100ks and I am now challenging myself to double this to 200ks in 100 days, I am already up to 130k, but this only leaves me 25 days to complete the other 70k (sorry to any other teachers reading this, if this is a countdown back to work!). I would love if this therefore means that I can double the fundraising total!
As most of you who know me, know, Claire House has become close to my heart after my best friends son, Joshua, was diagnosed with Edward's Syndrome not long after he was born in 2017. When Joshua's family received this diagnosis it was not long before they were put in contact with Claire House who have offered support and reassurance from day one. With the money raised from generous supporters of the charity, Claire House can provide care for Joshua and other children as well as providing family days out for him with his loving family, providing precious memories.
Joshua is an inspiring little boy, he continues to amaze us all, his infectious smile lights up any room. I want to raise any amount of money to allow this charity to continue to support not only him and other children, but also their families too.
Please, if you can I will be extremely grateful for any donation.
Thank you
Faye xx
