Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I can’t quite believe it at the moment but I’ll be running 28K on the 17th July to raise money for Christians Against Poverty (CAP)! I’ve never ran such a distance before and not only that but there’s a 540m elevation thrown in there too! What a test of endurance and determination! I’m a Yorkshire lass so I’ve plenty of hills to train with on my doorstep! I’m training and competing with close friends and family which just makes it all the more amazing! More so than ever I value being able to run alongside such amazing people who I have the privilege to journey life with.

Please consider supporting me on my journey to raise as much money as possible for CAP, in doing so will make such a difference in so many peoples lives. Many clients Christians Against Poverty help are in sheer desperation, weighed down by debt and everything else life can throw at them. I’m sure their inundated with those in need with the climate we find ourselves in during this pandemic. It’s got ‘Christians’ in the name because the charity is run by Christians and the regional centres are run via local churches, but they help people of all faiths or none with zero discrimination.

Check out more of what they do on their website; www.capuk.org

I’m overcoming much of my own trials in preparation for such a challenge. Not only getting into shape and fitness to take on such a challenge but pushing through chronic headaches and migraines don’t half put a strain on my body and mind and often put a stop to some of my training days, but I’m not giving up, I’ll be ready and will complete the challenge in front of me.
