Jordan and I have decided to undertake this challenge to raise money for MS-UK, as having run the London marathon for this charity in April, I was INSPIRED by the amazing people I met. Jordan and I started our current open water swimming adventure together a few months back, and this seemed a meaningful way to do something we enjoy, whilst helping MS-UK carry on their great work.
My mum suffered with MS, and sadly died in 1992 when I was just 13 years old. For her the symptoms were many and varied, but she was largely wheelchair bound and unable to do many things for herself. Meeting so many others with MS who are living the best life they can with the support of MS-UK was an amazing experience, and I remain in awe of these incredibly strong, motivated and positive people.
MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.
If you're able to help us raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity, we'd be super grateful.
