Story

I will be running my first ever marathon by taking part in the London Marathon 2022 as part of Team JDRF!

I want to take myself out of my comfort zone while supporting a cause that is so important to me. After watching what feels like the entirety of Netflix in 2021, 2022 will be a year of challenging myself and running more than twice as far as I have ever run before, and I would love to have your support!

I knew very little about Type 1 diabetes until my partner was diagnosed in 2020. This life-changing event that thousands go through every year was daunting for all involved, but charities like JDRF offer vital support networks for those living with Type 1 and their loved ones. It was only when I began to research Type 1 that I discovered that JDRF is also leading the work to find a cure.

I am running to help keep the work of JDRF going, to raise awareness of Type 1, and to recognise the 400,000 people living with it in the UK. Thank you so much for your support!
