On April 6, 2014 I will be running the Paris marathon for Whizz-Kidz – a charity that not only provides customised wheelchair and other mobility equipment to disabled children and young people but also shows them how to use it in their private and professional life through, for example, individual skills training and work experience placements. By fundraising for Whizz-Kidz, I would like to use this very mobile day of my life to mobilize a child or young person.

What I like about Whizz-Kidz in particular is the fact that even a relatively small amount of money can make a real difference. For example, if I achieve my fundraising target the Whizz-Kidz charity would be able to provide an adapted tricycle to one “whizz kid”, enabling this person to achieve freedom from their parents and carers, participate in society and take charge of their own lives.

I was pretty fortunate as a child. Please help me make childhood a bit more fun for someone who has been less fortunate.
