Story
Hi,
What a fantastic day!
Many, many thanks for all the trackside support - it was totally thrilling to see so many friendly and enthusiastic faces. 3 hours and 57 minutes and I loved every minute of it. I can't accurately describe what it was like but I recommend it to everyone! Truely one of the most thrilling events of my life...! Definately doing next year!
And many, many thanks for all the sponsorship I have recieved, and continue to recieve. Cheques and donation of all sizes are still flowing in!
The initial target of £2000 was achieved even before the race day!
If you're reading this then you have, most likely, ALREADY decided to sponsor me; many, many thanks. I won't spend time plugging the Dalitso Trust here, check out http://www.dalitsotrust.org/ for details of their great work.
What I will say is that the value of every pound you donate is multiplied hugely in terms of what it can achieve in Malawian villages. Dalitso runs projects where lives can be saved with the purchase of a few sacks of grain and fertiliser, or a child sent to school for just a few pounds a month. So if you dig deep and sponsor me to do my first ever marathon, with a fat £20 gift or an epic £50 gift (more if you can tick the tax reclaim bonus), you will be making a LASTING and LIFE CHANGING difference to a lot of people's lives.
