Story
Its a special year for Student Hubs, as they look to celebrate their 15th birthday. As a charity, they have been creating impact since 2007 not only in their Hub locations of Bristol, Cambridge, London and Hampshire, but also in their delivery of training, webinars and support for lots of universities, students, and socially impactful organisations across their history and in 2022.
To support their work, I am taking part in the 15 for Student Hubs Challenge, a physical 15 based activity to fundraise for their vital work in empowering the next generation and supporting community groups and universities to make an impact.
Everyone's 15k is different, and I'm aiming to do 15 kilometre runs. It might not seem a lot but it's been a while since I ran that far (when I was last training for my half marathon in 2019) and this is a fantastic opportunity for me to challenge myself, get fitter, and raise some money for a great cause.
I would like to challenge myself to do three 15k runs by the end of June - maybe I'll even improve my time!
The Challenge will be launching from March and taking place until the end of June. Fundraising can be challenging for many charities, and your donation will help to support the Student Hubs network, which makes their activities high quality, safe, accessible, and adaptable for the hundreds of individuals they engage through their support every year.
As someone who works for Student Hubs, I feel very passionate about their work, what they do, how they make a difference for students and communities, and how they empower students to create a better world. I hope you'll support me in my challenge, and also support Student Hubs' work by donating to this fundraiser!
