We provide life-enhancing support to the UK's fire & rescue community.

Story

We are twenty four of Kent Fire and Rescue Service’s newest recruits and on Thursday 9th May, we will climb the height of Mount Everest on ladders at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre.

That's a height of 8,848 meters and we will be wearing approx. 30KG of fire safety kit.

We are tackling this challenge in order to raise money for two charities, The Fire Fighters Charity and Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

This page is to donate for The Fire Fighters Charity page and the below link is for The Demelza Hospice Care for Children page.

The event will kick off at 10:30 and the aim is to finish by the end of the afternoon. All are welcome to come and cheer us on, and to donate anything they can towards the two good causes.

A little bit about The Fire Fighters Charity;

The Fire Fighters Charity is almost entirely funded through donations from the fire community and the public.

“We understand the mental, physical and social burdens that can come from being a past or present member of the UK’s dedicated fire services community. So we rescue the rescuers and help them to recover their lives when they need it most.”

Needless to say the work both of these charities carry out is incredible, we ask you to dig deep and support our charity event.

Please also consider donating to Demelza Hospice Care for Children too at the following link:
