So what is a Bikram-athon? 

Well we will be starting in Balham with our first Bikram Yoga class of the day. For those of you that think that sounds like a breeze - to give you an insight into bikram.... They heat the room to around 42 degrees and for an hour and half you are in there doing all kinds of stretches - awkward ones at that. One class in itself is pretty tough (and very, very hot). 

Once that is done with we will then run to the Fulham studio (which is 4 miles away). We will then carry out our second Bikram Yoga class of the day! Again an hour and a half of heated stretching - some could say mild torture. 

Once we have finished we will then run to our final stop - London Bridge, which is 7 miles away. We will then carry out our third and final class of the day!

Why?

So to give you the background on why we want to raise money for the wonderful 'Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre'.

Last year in the summer my beautiful best friend Hayley Keys was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was treated for 10 months but the cancer spread too quickly and we tragically lost her in March this year just before what would have been her 26th birthday. I couldn't put in to words how brave Hayley was throughout this ordeal. She was a total inspiration to us all.

The nurses at the centre became Hayley's friends and they looked after her every step of the way. They went above and beyond the duty of care constantly and made everything just that bit easier for Hayley. 

Throughout the 10 months Hayley tried to organise events / fun runs for her friends to do or for her to be involved with when she got better. Sadly she didn't get that luxury so we are going to do our best to raise the money she wanted to give back. 

Any donation small or big will be greatly appreciated. I don't think we will ever be able to repay the centre for what they did for Hayley but we would like to try!
