Story

As much as I enjoyed breakdancing, most of you will know that my mum passed away suddenly during this challenge.

I am now changing my skill to learning how to swim. As a kid I had hearing difficulties and for a long time wore grommets which meant that I couldn't submerge my head (that was the official advice in the olden days)

I absolutely adore my job at Tailor Ed. I have the great privilege of watching my colleagues in action and seeing first hand the incredible difference that the make to the autistic individuals they work with and their families. As the Fundraising Officer, I am fully aware of just how difficult it is to fund the service, a service that should be statutory and available to all families with a child on the autistic spectrum. Had I been able to access Tailor Ed for Alfie when he was younger, our lives would've been radically different and easier.

We have been supporting families in Edinburgh with day to day challenges since 2009. Our wish is to see autistic children and their families empowered and included, able to live the lives they want to and access all the day to day experiences that other families take for granted.
