Story
Grandma Mary lived a life of joy. Her four children thrived, and in midlife she was diagnosed with diabetes. One of her greatest gifts was cooking for her family, much like many farm families in our community. And she'd sneak a bite of things she knew would throw off her sugar counts. And, she'd giggle about it! :)
Today, I know her heart issues were closely tied to this diagnosis. I want to help others avoid the grief of losing a loved one too early because of their diabetes. These are habits we can change.
In her honor, will you give?
Another family's life will be changed when you do.
In celebration of Diabetes Awareness Month, I am raising funds to benefit support the diabetes care team and the needs associated with patient care, department equipment and technology, as well as staff education and training.
There are more than 65,000 persons living with diabetes and over 150,000 living with prediabetes in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
Thank you for your gift and support!
