Hadrian's Magpie · 3 June 2020 ·

The Royal Artillery Charitable Fund assists all Royal Artillery officers, soldiers and their dependants, both serving and retired, in their time of need - whatever the cause and at any time in their lives. Help us to assist them now!

Story

Soldiers from 101st (Northumbrian) Regiment Royal Artillery who are centrally based in Gateshead are going to challenge themselves to complete 84 miles, the total length of Hadrian's Wall, by running or walking within 30 days. This will be done virtually to minimise risk from COVID-19. We are doing this to raise money for both the National Health Services and the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund. These two charities are close to the Regiment’s heart, not only by having NHS employees within our ranks but also the RACF which has helped so many Gunners whether serving or retired.
