There probably isn't a single person who hasn't been affected and lost someone close to them through this illness. Any tiny contribution I can make so that future generations do not is worth the brutal struggle ahead. 

My inspiration is my Uncle Daniel, who was taken from us far too soon.  

I have barely done any training, and I am hardly in shape, so my sole aim is to make it to the end. I have been carb loading for a long time through the Pizza diet, so hopefully will have plenty stored energy for the day...
