Story
I’m taking part in the Grand Depart Classic, riding the whole of the 192km first road stage of the 2019 Tour de France, the week before the pros.
During my Dad's illness I have used the fantastic resources provided by Prostate Cancer UK. Unfortunately he will not benefit from future research and advances in the treatment and prevention of the disease. Just four days after sponsoring me for the event my Dad sadly passed away. He was my first sponsor and is my motivation to make sure something positive comes from the sadness.
I’ve signed up to this to push my limits, in order to save men’s lives, but I need your help. To make sure your donations go straight to the charity I have added a donation myself to cover the cost of the event, you won't be funding a nice trip to Brussels for me!
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
Your donation will make an impact, so please see this as your chance to do something amazing. It could be the best thing you do today.
Thank you,
Fraser
