The picture on this page is of our second son, Harry and myself just after my first GNW 4 years ago. With training and your support, I was able to drag my middle aged self around one mile of Lake Windermere. 

In an effort to go one better, this greying, slightly portly now 44 year old has signed up to swim 2 miles. Why you may very well (and rightly) ask?

Harry. He's the kindest, happiest and  most gorgeous boy you could wish to meet and has a rare genetic condition called Sotos Syndrome.

So in an effort to support all little boys and girls like Harry, and to give you all a good laugh at me struggling around the course like a beached whale, I am doing this years Great North Swim on  Friday 10th June 2022. 

Any amount that you can donate would be so appreciated and go a long way to help aid research and support children with genetic growth conditions. It will also mean the world to my wife Joanna and I, and add motivation as I splutter around lake Windermere.
