ABOUT:
ADVANCE is a joint initiative by Mission Africa and the UEC church in Nigeria. They seek to equip the church in Nigeria to demonstrate a Christ like, compassionate response to the rise of HIV/AIDs in the country, through prevention and care programmes. They seek to support those in communities who are vulnerable and in need with practical support seeking to bring the good news of Christ to those they meet. 

TRAINING:
ADVANCE educate and train workers within the church throughout the country in the area of HIV/AIDs prevention, stigma & discrimination, child protection, church leadership and other areas as required.

TESTING & COUNSELLING:
A number of areas have dedicated centres which support community outreach teams to provide counselling and home–based care, conduct HIV tests, and organise community prevention programmes.

CHILD SPONSORSHIP
At the Donegore Centre in Ogugu 180 orphans / vulnerable children are currently on the Circle of Hope Programme. These children are provided with Educational, Nutritional, Medical and Spiritual support on a regular basis. 

MICROFINANCE SUPPORT
A number of struggling families are supported by helping them to start a small business to be able to provide for their family. Fruit selling, weaving of school uniform and selling of food stuffs are some examples of initiatives undertaken. 

SKILLS ACQUISITION
A customised centre is currently being built in Ogugu to be able to provide training of Circle of Hope graduates and those in greatest need in the community in areas such as Tailoring, IT and Culinary skills. 

ABIGAIL'S FUND
A number of babies who have lost their mother are being supported with regular formula milk and guidance for the family in how to care for the child. 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Support is rendered, if available, to help with medical treatment for those who have disabilities or critical medical conditions.
