We work with governments in Asia to help create a positive alternative to institutional care through local family-based care for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Story

This is a charity close to my heart as I love what they do and know some of the people that work for them. It is so important that children have a home where they can be loved and feel settled. It is a good thing to take children away from institutions like orphanages and place them with families. This portrays what Christ has done for us by adopting us into His family.

This all came about while having a drink with friends one nice sunny afternoon in the autumn last year. My friend Ilse and her partner Leona normally do something for charity each year. While discussing what to do this year the option of joining this challenge came up. I must admit I thought they were joking but somehow they were serious and before I knew it we had signed up.

I have never done anything this big before, I mean the last thing I did for charity was in 2008 when I did the race for life while in sixth form. I am really nervous because this is going to be a challenge indeed but I am also looking forward to it, it will be an amazing experience I’m sure!!

Look out for some of my photos from the various walks I do
to help me prepare for the challenge.

Thank you for sponsoring me and for helping children all
over the world.
