Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
Over the next 2 weeks (I started a bit late!) I will be trying to swim the equivalent of the 22 mile English Channel Crossing in my local pool.
The aim is to raise money for the Aspire Charity who work very hard to assist those who have suffered with Spinal Cord Injury.
I experienced complex spinal surgery a number of years ago with my 2nd spinal surgery only being in March/April this year and although I still have to deal with the long term effects always, I am extremely lucky to have made a full recovery. Due to the excellent treatment and the support I received, this has allowed me to live my life to the very fullest. I am hoping that with your support, I can contribute to those who are not so fortunate and in some way, help them with the everyday challenges.
The levels of sponsorship below allow for:
£1,000 will pay for a rise-and-fall sink or hob in one of the houses, allowing a wheelchair user to access them.
£2,500 will buy a special bed with pressure relief mattress
£3,000 will allow for a laminated floor for easier movement around the property
...............................How fantastic would any of these be?
