Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, we want to be there for everyone who needs us

Story

Dear friends, colleagues, and everyone who cares,

It is a beautiful day out there, but Ukrainians cannot enjoy it... They are forced to defend their lives, lives of their children, their homes, and their country. Many Ukrainian civilians need your help NOW.

I am not asking your to donate your funds for free as there are many charities doing this already.

I have developed a 6-hour course "Behavioural Data Science in Financial Services". This course was a lot of work, but I will film it and put it online for free access as soon as this appeal reaches its financial target of £10,000

What you get for your donation:

  • 6 hours of learning content with most recent developments in behavioural data science;
  • NEW! Book "Behavioural Data Science in Financial Services" which will be available for free download!
  • introduction to behavioural data science and an overview of methods used to apply behavioural data science in financial services;
  • you will get practical tips on how to run a behavioural data science project with application to financial services;
  • you will learn many relevant case studies.

The course will be available via the Data Driven Channel YouTube Channel https://bit.ly/datadrivenyoutube

Donate and learn behavioural data science!

All funds will go to The British Red Cross Society Ukrainian Crisis Appeal. They are responding to needs of people by: repairing vital infrastructure such as water stations supplying water to over 800,000 people; supporting small businesses; raising awareness of mines; helping repair homes, healthcare centers, schools; supporting Ukrainian civilians through all feasible means.

It is a beautiful day out there, but Ukrainians cannot enjoy it. Do something about it. Today. Now.

Keep calm and do your bit!

______

Dear all, as you know I am currently fundraising for the #RedCross#Ukraine Crisis appeal. So far we have achieved much with 62% of the target donated by 109 supporters with donations still coming in. Thank you all for donating.

I told you that I have volunteered with the Red Cross myself in the past and know people doing work on the ground and have faith in them. However, Peter Maurer, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC), has completed a two-day visit to Moscow on March 24, 2022 where he revealed a plan to open an office in Rostov-on-Don in Russia to "help Ukraine". Considering that Ukraine is currently in the state of war with Russia, streaming funds which many volunteers around the globe have collected to help Ukrainians towards a Red Cross Centre in Russia is unethical and deeply worrisome.

I appreciate that there are Ukrainian people who need help on the Russian territory now. However, first, we know from experience of occupied Kherson that Ukrainian people will not accept help which comes from Russian territory. Second, even though it is clear that the Red Cross should be talking to Russia about green corridors for humanitarian aid, using these talks as a photo opportunity, smiling at the cameras and shaking hands with war criminals is hardly the best way to help Ukraine. Red Cross should know better.

I have requested the complete list of things that Red Cross UK Ukrainian Appeal was spending money on. So far, I was given verbal informal assurances that funds we collected were not spent in Russia. However, I am also waiting for the formal written response from the Red Cross UK by Tuesday. We definitely do not want to see any funds being spent in Russia.

Considering that the management of the Red Cross has discredited itself, I will be closing the funds collection now. We have already started filming the course I have promised to release. The course and the book will be available from May 1, 2022. I would like to thank all of you for your support.

I have started a petition to get answers from the Red Cross. Please, support it with signature: https://lnkd.in/gZ_ZJqhd

I will publish the formal response from the Red Cross on the spending items when I receive a response from them. Currently, they promised to get back to me by Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Like I said, informally I received assurances that our funding did not go to Russia, but let's wait for the written answer.
