Story
Rapha has teamed up with Ambitious About Autism to challenge cyclists to ride 220 miles over the weekend of 18-19 June 2022.
I plan to get the ride done in one big non-stop 220 mile / 354 kilometre ride.
If you're interested, here's the route I'm planning to ride:

Support for children with autism (or ASD, autism spectrum disorder) and other neurodiversity, such as ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and dyslexia, has improved a lot in recent years. but schools and families are still often not equipped with the knowledge or resources to best support neurodiverse children. This is something very close to my heart as there are several members of my family who fall under the neurodiverse umbrella, with diagnoses of ADHD, dyslexia and ASD. Although they are well supported, there are still challenges and barriers for them to overcome in academic and social settings. So I hope that by riding a few hundred kilometres I can support other children who are experiencing the same challenges and barriers to participating in school and society.
Ambitious about Autism is the national charity for children and young people with autism. They provide services, raise awareness and understanding, and campaign for change. Through TreeHouse School, The Rise School and Ambitious College they offer specialist education and support. Their ambition is to make the ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism.
Thanks for your support!
