Story

In a moment of early morning madness, and spurred on by Theo Paphitis as he launched the Manchester Children’s Hospital ‘Many Hands’ appeal, I am organising a charity bike ride, (with massive support from the Hospital, Theo, his amazing PR Guru Tina, the incredible Journey9 and dozens of others) in September. The Children’s Hospital has a real place in my heart after my 5 day old daughter's life was saved by these nurses. I want to do what ever I can to help – this seems a great way to start!!
.

I have got approximately 30 riders, riding from London to Manchester, a distance of 210 miles, with an overnight stop in Birmingham, before finishing at the National Cycling Centre – The Velodrome – in Manchester.

The organisation has been tough…but not as tough as spending approximately 20 hours/210 miles in the saddle.  But for such an amazing cause it will be worth it – the prospect of not being able to sit down for a week afterwards might change that opinion.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN

We need Sponsorship/Donations.  As a Head-Hunter, I have a good selection of contacts, so I am contacting everyone I can, to ask/plead/beg them to help us with this amazing cause. It doesn’t matter if you can only afford/justify a pound or 2 – every penny raised goes directly to the Hospital, directly to assist these children.

If everyone I have contacted gives just £5, we would raise around £5,000.

If everyone gave just 1% of this months salary, we would raise in excess of £50,000

Please give what ever you feel you can.

The hard work involved for the last six months….and required for the 2 day ride will be nothing compared to what money raised will do for these sick Children.

Thank YOU!

We have a great selection of Business Leaders, CEOs, Sports Figures, Social Media Stars, Team GB member(s), Manchester Figure-heads, plus a couple of special guests, including one from the world of Formula One!  We’ve also got media involvement from TV, Radio and Print to ensure coverage. It’s going to be a fun event, but one with very serious benefits to a lot of young children.

We also need a variety of help. Most of the organisation is done, but if you think you/your business could offer anything to assist/improve the ride, we’d again love to hear from you. Help from marketing/branding/’kit’/provisions to accommodation/food/transport…or even just corporate sponsorship/donations to cover direct costs (insurance/outriders/safety measures etc) – we have some, but the more we can get, the better we can make the event.  All businesses getting involved will get significant PR coverage from the ride in general as well as from Theo himself!

Much like the children this will all benefit, we need grit, determination, help and assistance to pull it off and make it the success I know it can be.

Thank YOU!
