As a team at Home Instead Reading, we are walking in the right direction raising money and awareness for this worthy cause. Tracey, Sarah, and I are walking 1 million steps each during June July, and August as a team. This is not something that we usually do and want to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. I am taking on the Summer Steps Challenge and walking 1 million steps to support families facing Dementia. Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nursing charity. Their nurses, called Admiral nurses provide free life- challenging support to families affected by all means of dementia. Working the free National helpline, in clinics and in the community , they are a lifeline to families who are feeling exhausted , overwhelmed and alone, helping them through the fear and confusion of living with dementia.
