The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

Working closely with the Guide Dogs NFU Mutual plan to raise £125,000.00 by the end of 2015 to support 1 Guide Dog over it’s lifetime, as part of this Group Corporate Business plan to raise £5,000.00 which will give us the opportunity to name 1 puppy and support NFUM’s overall total.

GCB have planned events throughout the year including bake sales, treasure hunts and raffles but the event which will play a large part in our fundraising is the Coniston Challenge.  The challenge will take place on the 19.09.2015 and in 1 day our teams will complete 3 events, 10km hike, 12km mountain bike and 1 mile kayak.  Our brave or mad team members are: Malcolm Mawer, Hannah Bissell, Tom Widdrington-May, Natalie Corsentino, Charlie Rawlings, Bayley Pielow, Adam Millership, Nichola Green, Jack Green, Liz Howell, George Wishart and Simon Forsdick.

The guide dog service transforms the lives of around 4,500 blind and partially sighted people every year and NFU Mutual is proud to play it part in supporting this life-changing work.  We hope you are able to support us.
