Well I can't believe it but I am about to turn 40! My mum can't believe it either. I look around me and know that I am truly lucky for everything I have done, the opportunities I have had to try whatever comes my way and of course the friends and family around me.  I also know that many girls in the world are limited by where they are born, the opportunities they have and what they have access to.

Room to Read focuses on literacy and girls education seeking to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income countries. They develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children and support girls to complete secondary school with life skills. 

There were so many amazing charities to choose from and so much good work that goes on in this wide world of ours. My girls love to read, in fact Ella once walked into a wall because she couldn't put a book down. So this charity felt like a perfect choice to help at this point in my life.
