We support people living with HIV to ensure they live healthy lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Terrence Higgins Trust is a truly noble charity who's goals are to end the transmission of HIV in the
UK and and supports those already living this it. This support comes in the form of support in how to live with the disease and support from the discrimination and stigma that comes with it.

Support for this charity has never been needed more as there are more people with HIV living in the UK than ever before, with an estimated total of 103,700 of which 17% are unaware of their condition.

It is important to remember that HIV effects all lifestyle choices with 40% of all new HIV diagnosis coming from heterosexual relationships with 61% of men and 52% women with HIV being diagnosed late.

When it comes to a currently incurable disease, knowledge is power, and this is one of THT's main goals with educating people about HIV to ensure that the transmission stops for good.

For these reasons I am proud to say that I'm running the London 2017 marathon to raise money for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
