I am leaving for the chittagong hilltracts in Bangladesh on the 7th of may with a scheme called ICS. As part of this is have to raise 800 pounds for the charity. This money does not sponser me to go abroad, i am paid for by the department for international development and all of the money raised goes to supporting VSO and the great work they do. 

My specific work in bangladesh involves working with uk volunteers and local volunteers on the Water Sanitation and Hygeine programe. This includes manual tasks such as building wells and latrines, and community tasks such as teaching children the importance of hand washing and about the spread of disease. We aim to make a sustainable difference in a country where it is desperately needed.
