Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I’m really excited to share that I have been selected to volunteer in Kenya with VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) on an International Citizen Service (ICS) placement. I will be living and working in Machakos aiming to support the creation of sustainable livelihoods and to improve the quality of life for youths (15-29 year olds) and their households.

The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £1500 towards the work of VSO and their ICS partners. My place on the programme is already paid for – visas, flights, vaccinations, insurance. This means that all the money I raise will go towards the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

Amongst other things, I’ll be running a half marathon in January and you can keep track of how I get on here on my JustGiving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference! Please join me as I take a stand against poverty and support VSO’s uniquely effective approach that reached over 1.5 million people last year alone. Thank you for your support!
