Charlotte, like me, was an English teacher, and, like me, loved Classics and Latin. One of my favourite times spent in her company was at Greek camp! She was full of life and smiles, extremely active and had a heart of gold.

I never used to like running - it always gave me a stitch. Charlotte has inspired me to do this. It is my way of continuing her legacy and channeling the feeling of helplessness into something positive. When I run, I always think of her spurring me on. Although it will be a challenge, I can hear Charlotte telling me to 'carpe diem'! My aim is to keep running and not stop - just like the original runner Pheidippides - although I hope I don't collapse at the end!
