I'm running the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 1st October. There are 2 reasons I have decided to do this.

The first is to raise money for Barnardo's. As a farther of 4 healthy, happy children, it breaks my heart to think there are some out there who aren't so healthy or happy. I just want to give them all a big cuddle and take them home! Unfortunately I don't quite have the space, so I'd like to raise some money to go to a cause that does help these children.

The second is to prove to myself I can! I used to be fit and healthy and then in 2012 I had a heart attack. I had a second in 2013. In 2016 I had a breast cancer scare and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. In 2017 I was diagnosed as a typical bi polar. 

Before any of this I was a gym freak and had run 4 half marathons in as many years. By 2015 my health was so bad I was struggling to train, by 2016 I was struggling to get out of bed! Now, through various methods, medications and stubborness, I am back in the gym and I want to see if I can push myself to achieve something that this time last year I thought would be impossible!!
