Story

These things come in threes!

After signing up for Inverness Marathon at the beginning of the year, I was all set the take on my first big running challenge. Then in May, I was surprised by my girlfriend Jill, who booked us a weekend away in Dublin for my 21st birthday and also signed me up for the Dublin Marathon.

Only a few days later, I got a phone call from MS-UK about my London Marathon application. We spoke on the phone about mums condition and the level of care she now requires, and they told me that my application was successful. Better than that, they would look into with suitable care and accommodation so that our mum could enjoy London with us. Nothing is guaranteed but its a start.

I was so happy and excited to be taking part in 3 amazing marathons around the UK, but the reality kicked in.

The next 11 months will be a huge commitment, training up for my first marathon and staying fit for 6 months until the last one in London. Eating healthy and not party TOO hard. Planning Fundraisers to reach the £3000 target. And Organising everything mum needs for an enjoyable trip to London.

Thankfully, all my friends and family are behind us and willing to help. Thank you very much from us all for any donations and support. Whether it be cash, raffles or training tips and fundraising ideas.
