Story
Asalaamualaikum,
As a boys scouts section we are encouraging the boys who are ages 10.5 - 14 years to help the most needy. It also falls as part of the scouts fundraising badge and the children will learn how to promote charitable work. We as a scouts section have committed ourselves to assist Green Lane Masjid with their Syria project. Each young person in the scouts section will be asked to learn how to raise and have a personal target of £250 each.
The fundamental aim to assist the Syrian people with ifthaar packs so that they can keep their fasts especially as the fasts can be upto about 19 hours long. These people are struggling to source food for themselves and in conjunction with Human Appeal, Green Lane Masjid will be providing this aid as a 100% donation policy.
If the target is reached after Ramadhan then we will still be sending the money but as part of the Syria bread project where our aim is to support the Syrian people to become self sufficient in being able to provide basic food such as bread.
A mans true wealth is the good he does in this world, and this is an opportunity for us to support the young ummah to learn about charity and helping those in need.
In order to achieve our target, we are asking for you all to dig deep into your pockets and remember the charity you give will be your shade on the day of judgment.
We are accepting your Zakat, fidya, kaffarah and any other sadaqah you wish to give.
Jazakallah Khair, and may Allah reward you.
