As we all look upon the escalating situation in Ukraine, as one of the largest employers in the region and somewhere where people from Ukraine and the surrounding countries both work and live we are playing our part to offer help and support.

Story

Medical Aid North East is a local charity set up by doctors and nurses in our area who have connections and often family in the Ukraine. It is hosted by an existing charity at North Tees and Hartlepool Trust but you are not giving to this hospital- the money will purchase equipment needed by our colleagues in the Ukraine. It has coordinated individuals and NHS organisations including the Acute care Trusts some of us on the street work for and the North East ambulance service to send much needed medical aid and ambulances to Ukraine. We are keen to support our local charity as well as DEC.
