The St George's Police Children Trust tries to help ease the financial pressures of bringing up a family when life changing circumstances such as the loss of a police officer parent or an injury or illness means they can no longer work. 

No amount of money can replace a parent, but financial support to police officer’s children and young people can be provided by the Trust. More than 300 families are supported every year. 

I have chosen this charity, as being in the Police Service myself I know only too well the dangers it can bring. Support from such a good cause can prove invaluable to a family in need and my hope is to help raise the profile of this great cause. 

I have chosen to complete a triathlon details as follows: 

23 August - Great Scottish Swim 

6 September - Highland Perthshire Half Marathon 

14 September  - Etape Trossachs Medio
