Story
This October, I’m taking on the Walk One Mile a Day challenge to raise vital funds for lung cancer support and research.I’m walking in honour of everyone affected by lung cancer — those currently facing it, those that have been lost, and the families who carry on in their memory. I’ll walk a mile every day, in my own time and in my own way, turning each step into support.
As many of you know I am going through my own cancer journey and I want to do everything I can to kick its butt! Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer. The money raised through this challenge will help fund life-saving research, provide comfort and care to patients, and ensure no one has to face this disease alone. I’m doing it to make a difference to others and for myself... I’m walking for those who can’t, and for the hope of a better future. This is going to be a huge physical challenge for me but I feel driven and ready to get started. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world where lung cancer is caught earlier, treated more gently, and survived more often.Let’s make every mile in October matter. Together, we can walk toward change.
