Our lovely youngest granddaughter has drawn a really short straw and been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. People (mainly girls) with Rett syndrome have profound and multiple physical and communication disabilities and are totally reliant on others for support throughout their lives.
I’m helping Rett UK because they not only deliver excellent support services to meet the short and long term needs of the Rett community, but also promote, support and encourage research to enable improvements in identifying new therapies and treatments for Rett people and ultimately a cure. There have been some encouraging results recently, and we dream of a day when a cure may be found.
