This December, we’ll be taking an ice-cold dip into the frosty waters of Parliament Hill's outdoor lido in festive fancy dress, all to raise funds for Rays of Sunshine. Rays of Sunshine is a national charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill young people and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospital and within the community. Wishes are as unique as the children themselves - whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for the day, go to Disney World in Florida, visit Santa in Lapland or meet their favourite celebrity, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that wish come true, no matter how impossible it may seem.   

Georgia: I work as a Play Specialist at my local hospital on the childrens ward, I work very closely with children and their families with serious illnesses. The charity Rays of Sunshine help grant wishes to children and their families, they also help to improve the ward through ward wishes too, all of which really benefits the child‘s time in hospital! So this being the reason we want to give back and raise some money for them this Christmas time! 

Trish: I am a Healthcare Assistant and work with children and their families with serious illnesses. Rays of Sunshine do such a good job at giving children something amazing whilst going through a tough time, so this year we would like to give back to the charity to help make other children’s wishes come true!
