Hello there boys and girls!

Welcome to my London Marathon fundraising page. So as your here I can confirm the rumours are true, I am in fact running the London Marathon!! Some of you maybe shaking your heads in disbelief, thinking is this really the Grant we know and love attempting to run 26 miles, well I’m afraid it is. Long gone is the skinny kid from school or the fat lard ass from uni, now it’s a lean mean running machine!

I came to the idea of having ago at the marathon while drunk travelling and I’m afraid I mentioned it to too many people to back out. Plus, I did mention it repeatedly to Linz and she is not letting me off the hook on this one.

As for the charity I have chosen to run for, it’s the NSPCC and who can argue at helping out the future generations, eh? I have committed to raising a minimum of £1,800 of which they will put to amazing use. Here's just a couple of facts for you to help dig that little deeper.  Tragically, every week one child in the UK is killed by their parent or carer. Over 30,000 children are on child protection registers.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NSPCC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

The training is fully under way and I have been clocking up some serious miles around the picturesque place which is the Brain?!?!? Things are going well and although at times very painful running in the cold and wet, I am determined to get through it and achieve this.

So therefore people please give as generously as you can, as all the help I can get will be very much appreciated. Plus, if you need any further incentive then I am also planning to give up alcohol for a couple of months before hand as well and if that isn’t worth some sponsorship I don't know what is!!!
