Kuringgai Chase Fun Run · 31 May 2021 ·

The Kuringgai Chase is the major fundraising event for the Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore Club supporting athletes of all ages to participate in grass roots sport.

Story

This is a BIG ask to support my daughter Kate and all her buddies that benefit so much from being able to participate in the Special Olympics weekly sports program. Kate has been involved in Special Olympics for over 14 years and still does tenpin bowling every week. So many of our friends are also involved in SO which provides great support for our family.

The Kuringgai Chase is the major fundraiser for our local club and programs can’t continue as they are without your support. As cofounder of the event your support means a lot to Maree and I. Hope you can help!

We are helping to make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place-one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time. The Special Olympics Upper North Shore Club is part of a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability.

"The Special Olympics play an enormous role in bringing athletes together and giving them the opportunity to learn team spirit, to interact, negotiate, to have transactions. I think sport is one of the few areas or platforms that they can do it as intellectually disabled people." Special Olympics Syndey Upper North Shore parent.
