Walk To Remember is a flexible fundraising event where individuals, families and communities walk In Memory of a beloved pet on National Pet Memorial Day (Sunday 13 September).

Story

After losing my beloved Pedro in June I have wanted to do something not only in his memory but also to thank his surgery who saved his life 5 years ago and gave me all that extra time with him which I have never been as grateful for anything in my entire life as I have been for the amazing staff at the surgery.

I reached out to them to see if I could do something such as a sponsored walk to show my gratitude and they requested that I do something for the RSPCA instead of them directly.

As you all know from my many instagram videos Pedro loved to walk more than anything so it is on his name and memory that walking was the activity that was only right to chose.

Losing a pet can feel like losing a member of the family. Yet pet grief is often misunderstood, leaving many feeling they have to carry their loss quietly or alone.

The RSPCA’s Not Just A Pet campaign helps more people recognise that pet grief is real and deserves to be seen and supported. A big part of this is Walk To Remember – a community event offering a moment to celebrate the pets who mean so much to us.

Taking place on National Pet Memorial Day (13 September), I'll be walking to celebrate the bond I shared with my pet, while fundraising to help other animals in need.

So, please donate and help me turn my precious memories into meaningful support.
