Story
Walk To Remember is a flexible fundraising event where individuals, families and communities walk In Memory of a beloved pet on National Pet Memorial Day (Sunday 13 September).
There’s no start line, finish line or pressure to complete a challenge. Instead, choose a walk that feels meaningful to you, whether that’s a favourite park, a daily dog walking route, or a place that holds special memories.
Last year, more than 2,000 people came together on National Pet Memorial Day to remember their pet, raising an incredible £39,320 to help rescue and care for animals in need.
This year, we’re inviting even more people to take part – walking, remembering, and celebrating the pets who will always hold a place in our hearts.
How it works:
1. Register and we’ll send you a welcome pack with everything you need to get started.
Your pack includes an RSPCA top, and a walking sticker - to wear on your walk to mark this special day.
2. Choose a route that feels meaningful to you and your pet – perhaps a favourite park, woodland path or local walk.
We suggest walking five miles, but you can walk whatever distance feels right for you.
3. Fundraise In Memory of your pet.
Your fundraising page will be set up with a suggested goal of £100. Share it with friends and family so they can support your walk and celebrate your pet’s life.
As a thank you for your fundraising, you’ll receive:
Pin badge – £50 raised
Travel mug – £100 raised
Picnic blanket – £250 raised
4. On National Pet Memorial Day (Sunday 13 September), take your walk In Memory of your pet, wherever and however feels right for you.
