On a very hot Monday I finished the stage in 9hrs 3mins 27sec. A bit slower than hoped for, but nevertheless happy to have survived and grateful for all your support which helped me to the top.

After my sponsor ride for the MS Society in 2007 I'm now back on the bike to cycle L'Etape du Tour. This will take me from Montelimar to Mont Ventoux (172km, more than 2000m total climb). The Pros will do this stretch of the Tour de France in a lot less time than I could even dream of doing, but I intend to finish the climbs in the knowledge that your money will support the great work the MS Society does. Feel free to give me as much impetus to climb "the windy mountain" as you can. I will keep you up to date with the training and outcome of the venture.

With 6 130+km rides in the legs the big event is getting closer and closer. Less than 20 days to go.
