London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

Team StCH runners are taking on the iconic London Marathon through the closed streets of the capital to help make sure that St Catherine's Hospice will be there for local people and those close to them when life comes full circle.

Story

My Dad spent his final days in St Catherine’s Hospice. They put him in the family room and it was spacious, quiet and had a view of the garden and trees outside. It was a welcome relief after the impersonal hustle and bustle of the hospital. The first time I visited St. Catherine's, I walked into Dad's room and there was a nurse looking after him and making sure he was comfortable. We got talking and she told me that she loved her job. Amidst all those difficult times, her words were the only bright spot that I can remember. He left us two days later and I vowed to find a way to say thank you to that nurse and all the kind and professional people who work at St. Catherine's Hospice. Please sponsor me in my efforts to run the London Marathon 3rd October, 2021 with the StCH team. Any contribution most welcome.
