Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Watching someone you love deteriorate, become unable to perform the simple tasks they once could or to recall who you are is one of the most difficult things Alzheimer’s can bring to our loved ones and friends. Every three minutes, someone develops dementia. We can beat it, but we can't do it alone!  

In May this year, I will be taking on the massive challenge of running the London Hackney Half Marathon. Your support will make a massive difference and really help me to make it to that finishing line.

My aim is to raise as much as possible to help this amazing charity that is doing wonderful things in our local community.

The number of people living with dementia worldwide is currently estimated at 50 million and will almost triple by 2050. Dementia is overwhelming not only for the people who have it, but also for their carers and families.

I would like to thank Ashridge Home Care (AHC) team for supporting and helping me be part of this great cause. AHC work alongside people living with dementia and their families from the moment of diagnosis, ensuring that they have the information, advice, support and all the care they need to live as fully and happily as possible in their local community.
