Story
On the 9 and 10 May 2014, a group of property professionals succesful cycled the length of Hadrian’s Wall on Dutch bikes . The team consists of Vincent Willink (Kempen), James Wilkinson (Blackrock), Tom Walker (AMP), Simon Robson Brown (CBRE), Hugo Machin (AMP) and Dirk Jan Lucas (CBRE).
MPS Society
We are undertaking this challenge to raise funds for the MPS Society. This charity undertakes phenomenal work supporting families affected by MPS, as well as initiating and funding innovative research projects which may have a therapeutic benefit to those affected by MPS and related disorders. Mucopolysaccharide Diseases come in many forms. The diseases are progressive and life-limiting.
In 2009, Vincent Willink, a veteran of the real estate business, and Trudy had twin boys – Wander and Teun – who were diagnosed with Hunter’s Syndrome in 2013. We are keen to support Vincent and Trudy in raising the profile of Hunter’s Syndrome, enabling families to receive better information and care for their children. Vincent is, of course, one of the team members in the Hadrian’s Wall challenge.

The Challenge
First of all, please join us if you can!
We will be setting off from Carlisle on the morning of the 9th may and spending the night at Bardon Mill (mid-point). The following day we will complete the journey, ending up in Newcastle. On the evening of the 10th May, we will – not so quietly – be celebrating the end of the challenge. You can follow our fundraising effort at www.facebook.com/hadrian.for.hunter and at Twitter@hadrianhunter.
Whilst the core group consists of six of us, we are hoping that many more people in the sector will join us for the challenge. Please let us know if you would like to be involved. All the details will be posted to the facebook page.
